Enrich is an asset allocation tracker for DIY investors. Set a target mix for each goal, then see your real allocation across every account. Enrich looks inside your funds using Morningstar data, so you see what you actually own by region, company size, style, and asset type, not just a list of fund tickers.

What is asset allocation, and why does it matter so much?

Asset allocation is how your money is split across stocks, bonds, and cash, and which kinds of each. It is the biggest driver of your portfolio's behavior over time.
Think of it as your portfolio’s recipe. A mix of 70% stock funds, 20% bonds, and 10% cash behaves very differently from a 90% stock portfolio. Studies have found that this mix explains most of the variation in a portfolio’s returns over time, far more than picking individual investments (Brinson, Hood, and Beebower, 1986). The quiet decision about your overall mix tends to matter more than the exciting one about which fund to buy.

Can you see your real allocation across all your accounts?

Yes. Enrich combines all connected accounts into a single portfolio and shows your true mix, rather than one account at a time.

Most people hold similar funds in several places: a 401k, an IRA, and a taxable account. Looking at each one on its own hides what you own as a whole. Connect your accounts and Enrich rolls them into a single view, so you can see your real split across stocks, bonds, regions, and styles.

Three ways, depending on how hands-on you want to be: start from a ready-made strategy, answer a few questions to get a suggestion, or build your own.
Start with a ready-made strategy
Browse a library of 100+ strategies, from simple low-cost index mixes to more diversified approaches. Pick the one closest to how you already invest, then adjust it. (See the strategy library)
Answer a few questions
Not sure what mix is right for you? A short quiz on your timeline and how much of a bumpy ride you can handle suggests a starting point. You can change it anytime. (Take the quiz)
Build your own
Already know your strategy? Define it from scratch. Tell Enrich which funds belong in each part of your plan and what percentage you want in each. (How to build an allocation strategy)
It looks within your investments to understand the composition of each fund using Morningstar® and counts only the portion of each fund that fits each part of your plan.
Two funds can overlap more than you would guess. A total-market fund and an S&P 500 fund hold many of the same companies, so owning both does not diversify you as much as it looks. Enrich looks through your funds to their underlying holdings and shows your real exposure by region, company size, style such as value or growth, sector, and even bond credit quality. If a fund is 60% large US companies and 40% something else, only that 60% counts toward your large-US target.

This is also how you track a tilt toward things like value or smaller companies, if that is your strategy. There is academic support for those tilts, though the extra return tends to show up unevenly over time (Fama and French, 2015).

Can you see your real allocation across all your accounts?

Yes. You can set aside a slice for crypto or play money and track it as its own part of your plan.
If you keep a small amount for crypto or individual bets, you do not have to leave it out. Define it as its own bucket with a target percentage, and Enrich keeps it in view alongside the rest of your plan.

What happens after you set your allocation?

Enrich watches it every day and tells you when it drifts or when cash is piling up.
Once your target is set, Enrich tracks your real mix against it across all your accounts. When things go out of line, you get an alert and a plain-English list of trades to bring them back in line (see Rebalancing & Alerts). You can also check your portfolio’s risk, return, and overlap whenever you want (Portfolio Analysis).

Will Enrich change my investments for me?

No. Enrich is read-only. It shows you your allocation and suggests changes, and you make every trade yourself.
You keep your existing accounts and stay in control. There is no percentage-of-assets fee and no access to trading. Enrich is end-to-end encrypted, and only you can place trades in your brokerage accounts (Security).

Frequently asked questions

What is asset allocation?
Asset allocation is how your money is divided across stocks, bonds, and cash, and which kinds of each. According to several academic studies, asset allocation is considered the primary driver of a portfolio's behavior over time.
How is this different from seeing my holdings in a net-worth app?
A net-worth app lists your balances. Enrich shows your balances and tracks your strategy across those accounts, revealing your true mix. If you like, Enrich can also look inside your ETFs and mutual funds to see their actual holdings and fractionally allocate each fund to the target you set.
Do I have to build my allocation from scratch?
No. You can start from a library of 100+ ready-made strategies, answer a short quiz to get a suggestion, or build your own. You can change it anytime.
What is fund look-through, and why does it matter?
Look-through means seeing the real holdings inside your funds, not just the fund names. It matters because two overlapping funds can hide your true exposure. Enrich uses Morningstar data to show what you actually own.
Can I track a value or small-cap tilt?
Yes. Enrich shows your real exposure by company size, style, region, and sector, so you can set and track a tilt. Research supports these tilts, though the extra return has shown up unevenly over time.
